NORTHAMPTON, MA and JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, November 8, 2023 — In a pioneering move to support global health equity, SystemOne is proud to unveil its innovative Sustainability Guarantee, aimed at safeguarding the continuity of critical healthcare services in customer countries that suffer the loss of international donor funding.
Many Ministries of Health around the world are rightfully concerned that they may lose vital donor support for their healthcare efforts. This worrisome prospect has raised questions about the sustainability of essential healthcare programs, potentially jeopardizing the well-being of millions.
“We recognize the urgency of this issue and are committed to ensuring that countries do not suffer negative consequences – at least specific to our software – when donors fail to renew funding,” said Chris Macek, CEO, SystemOne. “Our Sustainability Guarantee is our commitment to stand by these nations and allow them to carry on using Aspect through a technology transfer if donors have pulled out of the country.”
Under this Guarantee, if a country no longer receives international donor funding at the conclusion of a SystemOne contract, the company will not decommission the Aspect Connectivity Platform. Instead, SystemOne will transfer the ownership of the last-used version of the software to the country, to be used in a manner consistent with past use. This will empower the nation to continue performing vital healthcare functions without interruption, preserving access to critical data, diagnostics, and patient care.
"The Sustainability Guarantee represents a milestone in our ongoing commitment to advancing global health and equity," said Brad Cunningham, COO, SystemOne. "We firmly believe that no country should face a disease management crisis due to the withdrawal of donor funding. SystemOne is dedicated to supporting countries as they move towards self-sufficiency and resilience in healthcare."
SystemOne's connectivity software has been instrumental in improving healthcare outcomes in numerous countries, streamlining data management, strengthening diagnostics, and enabling better patient care. By offering this Sustainability Guarantee, SystemOne reaffirms its dedication to making a lasting impact on the health and well-being of communities worldwide.

It's amazing to see companies like SystemOne stepping up to ensure healthcare continuity even after donor funding is cut. This approach not only provides stability but also helps build sustainable, self-sufficient health systems. In a time when global health is a priority, initiatives like this are crucial. As we strive to improve mental health and addiction treatment, ensuring that healthcare systems are resilient and capable of supporting all aspects of health, including recovery, becomes even more important.
